The Coronation of Charles III
The RSN Embroidery Studio worked on nine pieces for the 2023 coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla: the King’s Robe of State; the Queen’s Robe of Estate; the Anointing Screen; the Stole Royal and Girdle; the Chairs of Estate and the Throne Chairs.
New Pontifical Set for Buckfast Abbey
In 2018, the RSN Embroidery Studio produced a full pontifical set for Buckfast Abbey to celebrate their millennium. A pontifical set consists of a cope, chasuble, dalmatics, stoles, maniples, chalice, veils and a burse.
Au Bon Marché chair restoration for Salvage Hunters
The studio restored the worn embroidery on this Au Bon Marché chair for the television series Salvage Hunters.
Lady Carnarvon’s Coronation Robe
The RSN’s Embroidery Studio recently undertook the restoration and conservation of a robe worn by Lady Carnarvon to King George V’s Coronation in 1911.
‘Evergreen’, embroidered wall hanging
This large wall hanging was embroidered for the artist Katie Paterson. The work, entitled Evergreen, reflects the style of the arts and crafts movement and depicts every extinct flowering plant.

We were delighted to be tasked with conserving and protecting this exceptionally rare piece of 17th Century stumpwork.
Crewelwork Curtain Conservation and Remaking
We conserved these four original Crewelwork curtains dating from the 1880s and then recreated them to allow our client to use them in their new windows.
